Boquebus is the name of the company that runs boats between Argentina and Uruguay
They have a slow boat that takes around three hours to go from B.A. to Colonia and two other boats that run the same rout in less than a hour. Any body who knows me knows witch boat I took. The blue boat on the left was my ride over, which seated around 300 people.
After arriving in Colonia, I instantly decided to rent a scooter to save my feet from the cobble stone streets. Unfortunately this old little yellow thing was the only one left, which at the time seamed to be better than nothing. It didn't take no time at all for me to happily return this gutless piece of shit, as I refused to push it up another hill.
Lucky for me, an older gentlemen had returned this newer scooter during my peddling and pushing session with the yellow turd. I was so happy to have this thing, that I proudly parked it in front of the old entrance to Colonia just to take a picture of it.
These four local kids were sitting along the old defense wall sharing some Mote.
The old entrance to the original part of Colonia.
I was lucky enough to get a clown who was making fun of me and my first scooter to snap this nice shot of me.
More remains of the old defense wall.
This old bull fighting ring was located a few miles out of town and defiantly showed its age.
This dog was really cool, as he fallowed me all over the place when I was peddling and pushing the yellow turd.
This is the entrance to the restaurant where he hangs out.
More restaurant photos.
All of the restaurants had the old wood refrigerators like the one in this photo.
Many of the restaurants were located on small cobble stone streets like the one below.
This is the entrance to the restrooms behind one of the restaurants that was over grown with grape vines.
A lot of the streets were lined with flat stone and served as storm water ways that flowed to the sea.
This old light house is still in use today.
Here is part of the old church located in the center of Colonia. On the left is the HSBC bank located in a very old building.
A few more street pictures.
I was late for the sunset, which is unlike the romantic guy I am.
An emergency stop at the pharmacy for some babe powder was a must, as the chafing I received from the seat of my scooter due to the rough cobble stone streets was almost beyond bearable.
The other high speed boat , which took me back to B.A.
The top floor cabin of the boat, which served food and drinks.

An Hour At The Zoo
The Buenos Aires zoo was built in 1874. Most of my photos are of the buildings and animal houses as zoo animals all look a like.
Popcorn on the right and animal treats on the left sold from the same stand.
This guy defiantly wasn't very happy with me, as I snapped a photo instead of sliding a tread down the shoot.
The sight of this goat getting his head between the boards of this gate, thinking I had something for him to eat was as funny as could be.
Here are a couple of really neat old bird buildings.
I'm still not sure what these things were, but the were running all over the place.

China Town
This little girl seen my camera and insisted on my taking her picture, she is the daughter of the guy who owns a little massage business. They were about to close, but I was still able to get an incredible foot massage for 40 pesos, $13.30 us.
I went back on Monday for a complete massage and ended up with an ass whooping. This is a photo of me which was taken by me, prior to getting the shit beat out of my me from a so called professional Chinese masouse. I was just about ready to pay him to stop.
This is whats left of me after getting beat. I'm not sure this guy was any better than his massage table, the nails in this photo pretty much say it all.
From her sidewalk stand, this women sold the best snacks that were made from different kinds of marinated meat. I went back for seconds and then thirds.
Finally, a photo of me which was taken by me.
This is a milky tea type drink that had some sort of gummy balls sitting in the bottom of the cup, which would easily be sucked up the hough straw and chock the shit out of you if you weren't careful. It was actually really good, although I still don't what it was.
Just about everything in this little Chinese store was really weird looking stuff, check out the inventory of fresh pigs feet.
There were all kinds of fish and other odd looking sea creatures sitting on ice.
